OUTLINED OVERVIEW OF ISSUES CONCERNING THE:
UKRAINIAN AUTOCEPHALOUS NATIONAL ORTHODOX ARCHDIOCESE OF AMERICA AND CANADA........AND THE GREEK ORTHODOX ARCHDIOCESE OF AMERICA.......AS NOTED AND DOCUMENTED IN THE CIVIL LAWSUIT AND ACTION NO. 19-311 STATE OF NEW YORK, United States District Court, Southern District.
Plaintiff: Bishop Christopher, Ukrainian Orthodox Church of America, a/k/a Christopher Contogeorge....Vs Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America Inc.
A. A court case was filed in March 14, 1945 with a Court Order and stipulation and agreement dated March 13, 1945 an exhibit annexed thereto. Archbishop Athenagoras Spyrou and Greek Archdiocese of North and South America, Inc. were the Defendants.
B. Agreements were met to recognize each others jurisdictions respectively and not interfere with each others clergy, parishes or laity.
C. Subsequently all Greek Orthodox Hierarchs have in writing and publication honored the court order, TO WIT: ARCHBISHOPS ATHENAGORAS, MICHAEL, IAKOVOS, Patriarch of Constantinople since 1945 and have publicly accepted as canonical the Ukrainian Jurisdiction and their subsequent hierarchs; named them as such except Archbishop Spyridon; enclosed documents published of Hierarchical Blessings.
D. Today with ample documentation of "TORTS" (unrenumerated at this time) being repeated over the very same grounds violation of law and issues which were in the past settled causing the Greek Orthodox Hierarchy to be now in "CONTEMPT" of the original Court Order.
E. There is no issue of Statues of Limitations in this matter.
F. The letter of the Law and the Ecclesiastical cannons have been violated. This all committed even though they have been warned, educated of the Law and Case of Record.
G. Defiance of the secular law of the land can never be circumvented because of any personal interpretation of cannon law, especially after agreement had been reached and compliance was initiated. Time does not alter Hierarchal due-diligence. An agenda defeating unity as Orthodoxy has experienced; it is evil and not the Holy Spirit.
SUMMATION OF THE ISSUE: Will the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese honor its Holy commitment of its predecessors....Recognizing the AUTOCEPHALOUS AUTONOMY of a sister Jurisdiction in America...? Or will it endeavor to pursue an AGENDA of fostering unity with only those who are under the Yoke and direct Authority of the Ecumenical Patriarchate...?
